-When your vehicles A/C system is working sub par & you need to beat the heat
think of Curt's Service to get you back in the cool as soon as possible. At
Curt's we follow all factory recommended procedures for keeping your air
conditioning system working at its best.
A/C systems are one of the most misunderstood systems of today's vehicles. A/C
systems do not need to be periodically charged to keep them working properly as
many think. Air conditioning systems operate & cool by varying pressures of
Freon. When an A/C system fails to cool properly it could be one of many
different component failures. Either a leak in the Freon gas system,
restriction or pressure failure, or one of many other electrical component
failures. Note that all of today's & yester years vehicles operate air
conditioning using Freon. Here at Curt's Service we are one of the few service
facilities with the access and certification to service your earlier R-12 model
A/C systems to keep them working as good as when they were new.
-Don’t get stuck in the cold this winter with your heating system not working
properly. Have Curt's professionally trained technicians inspect your heating
system operation.
-Ask a Curt's Service staff member if your vehicle is equipped with new HVAC
component called a cabin air filter. Cabin air filter were introduced to
certain "high line" vehicles in the early 1990's but have been introduced to
most current vehicle and will be standard in all makes & models as of 2010.
Cabin air filters come in two different styles either standard particulate or
premium charcoal activated. Both are designed to clean & filter the air before
it comes into your heating and air conditioning system. This serves two
important features such as the furnace filter in your home, to filter the air
before it comes out of the vents & blows in your face & in your lungs. Also
note that it protects your HVAC system from component failure such as blend air
door problems, heater & A/C evaporator core contamination which could cause
premature failure resulting in very costly repairs. Manufactures recommended
replacing your cabin air filter every 12 months or 12,000 miles for best
protection & system performance.
